This is just one of the ways in which we are offering a listening ear to young people and members of our wider community. More opportunities to use Dialogue will be coming up soon.
We still want to hear from you, so if you have something you want to tell the VRP or even something you want to ask, you can:
Either… Contact us using the form in Dialogue: https://merseysidevrp.dialogue-app.com/contact-info
Or... you could always ask someone who supports you to contact us (e.g. doctor, nurse, teacher, youth worker, housing officer, sports coach, etc.).
As a reminder, we asked you: Do you feel safe where you live?
- What makes you feel safe?
- Do you ever feel unsafe? If so...
- What makes you feel unsafe?
- When do you feel unsafe? (e.g. day/night, inside/outside your home, when alone or with people)
- Is there a place you go where you feel safe? And if so, why?
- Do you have any ideas for things that might make you, or the people you know, feel safer where you live?
Next Steps (no colons in headings please)
January and March 2021: Gathering more evidence
We will use what you have told us during the #StayingSafe dialogue.
We will gather more evidence and opinions to add to your input. This will help us to review what works and where the gaps are which need to be addressed.
March and April 2021: Publish recommendations
We will publish recommendations based on what you tell us about what needs to happen to reduce the risk of violence, improve safety and life chances in your communities.
Take part in evidence gathering
Dialogue is just one of the many ways we work with community organisations and youth providers to make sure that our communities are at the centre of our violence reduction strategy. This means that we will bring together all the feedback into a report. This report will be used across the partnership to inform decisions we make.
We hope to get you involved in the creation of this plan, so again, if you are interested in playing an active part in this, please contact us and let us know how you’d like to get involved.
